Archie Lee Barnes, II, of Thomasville, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at High Point Regional Hospital.

Born December 29, 1967 in High Point, he was a son of Shirley Hoover Barnes and the late Archie Lee Barnes. Archie attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was a huge Tar Heel fan.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Tracy Hicks Barnes; daughter, Madison Barnes and son, Phoenix Barnes all of the home; sisters, Arlee Boylen and husband Mark of Archdale, Sandy Cook and husband Martin of High Point and Sherri Gilbert and husband Preston of Pfafftown; nieces and nephews, Brett, Brittney, Chelsea, Alex, Peyton; and longtime special friend, Joey Hilburn.

Memorial services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Monday, January 16, 2017 in the Fellowship Hall of New Life Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Mabe officiating.
