Anthony "Tony" Wayne Hanes

Anthony “Tony” Wayne Hanes, 55, of Winston Salem, passed away on April 10, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.

Tony was born in Wheeling, WV to Donald & Jacqueline Hanes on December 28, 1964. He worked in the auto parts industry for O’Reilly Auto Parts most of his life. He had a true passion for anything to do with cars whether it was working on them or just going to car shows and admiring them. He also loved to ride motorcycles. Tony also loved to be outside in his yard. He loved to mow and keep his yard looking sharp. His true passion was his family especially his four grandchildren.

Tony is preceded in death by his wife Sherry Hanes, his father Donald Eugene Hanes, his brother Christopher Eugene Hanes, and his stepfather Larry Mills.

Tony is survived by his sons Kyle Hanes wife Erin and David Hanes wife Kristin, his mother Jacqueline Kay Mills, his sister Shannon Miles husband Tony, his brother Timothy Scott Hanes wife Kristin, his grandchildren Kiley, Christopher, Cameron, and Grant. He also leaves behind several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
