Annie Mae (Seward) Dowdy

Annie M. Dowdy, 89, of High Point, passed away on July 17, 2019 in Thomasville NC.

Annie was born in High Point, NC to Margaret Cleo Linithicum and Walter Cherry Seward on June 2, 1930.  She was married to Donald Dowdy of High Point.  Annie worked as a Splicer operator for Guilford Veneers for many years but also worked in the Daycare industry as well. She was a special lady that will be missed by many.

Annie is preceded in death by her mother Margaret Cleo Linithicum and her father Walter Cherry Seward. She was also preceded by other siblings as well.

Annie is survived by her husband Donald Dowdy, her daughters Gwen lackey of Trinity, Donna Dowdy Young husband Ronny of Archdale, her son Jerry Byrd wife Lorie of Climax, her sister Gladis Fox husband Franklin (Buddy), her grandchildren Kevin Blanco wife Noemi of Miami, FL, Tania Stewart husband Andy of Asheboro, NC, Gina Cooper husband Chuck of Stanfield, NC, Casey Kearns husband Steve of Archdale, NC, Ronny Young III of Thomasville, NC, Rachel Lackey of Archdale, NC, Hueston Lackey wife Brianna of Thomasville, NC, her great-grandchildren, Kevin Maysonet wife Stacy, Courtney Long husband Evan, Dillon Kearns, Taylor Stewart, Sydney Kearns, Collin Cooper, Little Kevin Blanco, Ronald Brendon Young (Pickle Jack), Cole Lackey, her great-great grandchildren: Aaden and Bentley Maysonet, Cayden Kearns.

A visitation will be held at 6pm on Monday July 22, 2019 at Guil-Rand Funeral & Cremation Service located at 225 Trindale Rd, Archdale. A Graveside service will be at 11am Tuesday July 23, 2019 at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery located at 6000 W. Gate City Blvd, Greensboro NC. Pastor John Divine will be officiating.
