Anita T. (Belliveau) Fredette, age 94, of High Point, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2023, in High Point, NC.
She was predeceased by her parents, Exilma (Doiron) Belliveau and Adolph Belliveau, her siblings, Robert, Louise, Alice, Jay, and Gerry, her son-in-law, Wayne Erwin, several nieces and nephews, as well as her infant twin boys, Anthony Peter and Anthony Paul.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 72 years, Norbert J. Fredette, and her sisters, Irene (Belliveau) Boucher (married to Denis, of Climax, NC), and Ann (Belliveau) Courtemanche (married to Kenny, of Derry, NH), as well as nine children. She was a beloved mother to David Fredette and his wife Sheryl (New Bedford, MA), John Fredette and his wife Donna (Cornish, ME), Ray Fredette and his wife, Debbie (Lexington, NC), Bernie Fredette and his wife Jan Means (Melrose, NY), Rose Erwin (Sanford, ME), Gerry Fredette and his wife, Patty (Pleasant Garden, NC), Mary Brindley and her husband Jim (Thomasville, NC), Alice Smith and her husband Gary (Hanover, MA), and Ann Everett and her husband Mark (Mocksville, NC). Anita was a wonderful grandmother to 23 and great grandmother to 20. She also loved her many nieces and nephews.
Anita was born on June 23, 1929, and spent much of her life in Whitman and Lakeville, MA, before moving to High Point, NC. A woman of strong faith and prayer, she trusted in God’s great love and grace throughout her entire life and encouraged all those who knew her to do the same. In addition to her devotion to her family, she was very involved with the churches she attended over the years and counted many loving friends among the congregants. Anita was always willing to lend a hand volunteering with church and community organizations and events. A skilled crafter, quilter, and seamstress, she used her gifts to bless others in countless ways, including making dresses for children with cancer through the Kisses4Kate organization. Anita will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
A mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Immaculate Heart of Mary with Father Tom Norris O.S.F.S. officiating.
The family will visit with friends at 10:00 AM prior to service.
