Angela (Angie) Diane Smith, a resident of Greensboro went to be with her loving Lord and Savior Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Beacon Place Hospice Home in Greensboro.
Angie was born April 11, 1959, to the late Ann F. Coltrane and the late Cecil H. Smith at High Point Medical Center.
Angie had a career as a chef and executive chef in Myrtle Beach for 25 years. She moved to High Point and began a new career 15 years ago as a personal assistant to special clients that she considered her extended family.
Angie loved cooking, interior design, gardening, spending time with family and friends, serving others and working in her beautiful yard. She enjoyed being outside, especially the beach or lake.
In addition to her parents, Angie was preceded in death by her younger sister, Sonya Williams Miller.
Angie is survived by her beloved son, Ryan Scott (Samantha) Smith, her cherished grandson, Adam Brody Smith; sisters, Cheryl (Jerry) Adams, Debra Ingold, Evonne (Rod) Keller and Sandra (Brad) Malpass; stepfather, Jimmy Ray (Barbara) Williams, dearly loved family members, nieces, nephews, precious friends and her best friend Robin (Quint) Barefoot.
A celebration of Angie’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 13, 2022, in the chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point with Mr. Brad A. Malpass officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions can be made to AuthoraCare Beacon Place Hospice, 2502 Summit Avenue Greensboro NC 27405.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Beacon Place Hospice Caregivers for their tender loving care.
Angie’s legacy is Joy, Laughter, Hard Work and Serving Others. Angie’s Favorite Bible verse is Psalm 103.
