Andy Perry passed away peacefully at Pennybyrn at Maryfield in High Point, NC on November 6, 2016 in the presence of his loved ones.

Andy was born in Lima, Ohio, March 4, 1939, to Robert and Evelyn Anderson Perry.  He grew up in Ohio, New York state and later, Miami, FL.

Andy served in the US Marine Corps. His work life spanned sales, a brief stint in professional baseball with the Phillies, stadium management  (Milwaukee County Stadium,  opening thethe Super Dome in New Orleans, and other venues).

Andy moved back to Miami in 1981, and there met his wife Deborah Triol Perry.  Andy went on to management positions in the cruise line industry, most notably as Senior Vice President of Norwegian Cruise Line. Hurricane Andrew (1992) blew Andy and Debbe to Lake James and Morganton NC, near the Triol family summer cabin.

It was in Morganton that Andy and Debbe entered real estate, where they spent 24 happy years serving not only the real estate community, but the greater community.  Andy served a Chair of the Board of the Good Samaritan Clinic and on numerous other boards including, most recently, Burke Recovery.  In late May 2016 Andy and Debbe began their long awaited retirement life at Pennybyrn at Maryfield .

He will be remembered as a loving husband to Debbe, father to Kathy (Brad) Pouncey, Robert ( Sarah) Perry and Kris (Ross) Heidingsfelder, Grandpa Perry to Ross Jr., Nicole, Garrett, Dylan, Ashley, Mason and Evan.   He was Holly Harris's big brother and Helen (Triol) and Joe Drozd's brother-in-law.  And Daddy to his precious Fleur and Posey.

A service to celebrate Andy's life will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016,  at 2pm at First Presbyterian Church, Morganton, with visitation immediately after the service in the church fellowship hall. You can honor Andy's memory with a donation to First Presbyterian's Columbarium Fund (100 Silver Creek Rd. Morganton, NC 28655),  Burke Recovery (203 White Street, Morganton, NC 28655) or Hospice of the Piedmont (1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262).
