Allen Marcus Wood

Allen Marcus Wood, 78, of High Point, passed away Monday, February 9, 2026, at the Hospice Home of High Point.

Born December 25, 1947, in Newberry, SC, he was a son of the late Johnny Weir Wood and the late Velma Counts Wood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Malena Didenko.

Allen was a graduate of Wingate University. He worked in Packaging Sales with Box Board Products until his retirement.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda Smith Wood; sons, Paul Wood and wife Traci, and Bryan Hedgecock and wife Holly; grandchildren, Allen (Hailey), Phillip (Sydney), Will, Nick, Luke, and Hank; his great grandchildren, Aubrey, Brynlee, and Ruby; brother, Phil Wood (Tricia) and sister, Cindy Brewer (Ed).

A private memorial service will be held.
