Alice Haley Bunton

Alice Ann Haley Bunton, 93, of Trinity, passed away, Friday, January 16, 2026, at GrayBrier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born January 2, 1933, in Cheraw, SC. She was a daughter of the late Boyd Haley and the late Volina Rivers Haley.

Alice was a member of Rich Fork Baptist Church. She loved to be on the water with a fishing rod in her hand, she had a great sense of humor and loved cooking for her family for the holidays. Additionally, she enjoyed playing the piano and watching birds. She worked for Wachovia Bank and was one of the first female bank officers.

Left to cherish her memory; her son, Tom Bunton and wife Denise of Trinity; daughter, Kathey Ng (James) of Mebane; brothers, David Haley (Binky) of Leland, NC, and Charles Haley (Laura) of Darlington, SC; grandchildren, Emily Gilbert (Brandon), Katie Bunton, Rachel Ng and Calvin Ng; great granddaughter, Ivey Gilbert.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Bunton, who passed August 11, 2023; son, Rick Bunton; brother, Fred Haley; sister, Eleanor Anderson; and grandchild, Erin Bunton.

Memorial service will be 11:00AM, Saturday, February 14, 2026, in the Wright Funerals-Cremations, Archdale chapel.

The family will receive friends following the service.
