Albert Kennedy, 78, of Thomasville, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020, at High Point Medical Center.

Born December 12, 1941, in Davidson County, he was a son of the late Garcia McCoy Kennedy and the late Maggie Leigh Payne Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy was a retired heavy equipment operator and truck driver and a member of New Covenant Church of God.

He is survived by his son, David Kennedy and wife Dena of Thomasville; daughter, Debbie Caughron and husband Danny of Thomasville; grandchildren, Candace Caughron, Dustin Caughron, Rachel Saintsing and husband Jordan, and Carson Kennedy; and great-granddaughter, Sophia Joy Saintsing. sisters-in-law, Mary Kennedy and Joyce Kennedy of Thomasville; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joy Harden Kennedy.

Celebration of life services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 19, 2020, at New Covenant Church of God with Rev. Riley Puckett officiating. Burial will follow in Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:45 PM until 2:45 PM prior to the service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
