Agnes was a seamstress by trade and in her early years worked for Scott’s upholstery in Falls Mills, Virginia. Years later she retired from 3-D Upholstery in Sophia, NC after she and Warren moved to NC in 1977. She loved to make and create things and was good at everything she tried to do, whether with a handsaw or a sewing machine. She was an excellent hands on fixer upper and could make anything or re-make nothing into something. She loved to read a good book, work a daily crossword puzzle while drinking a good cup of coffee. Bluegrass music and The Bill Gaither Trio would always make her smile on Saturday evenings. Most of all, she LOVED being around her family. As the disease of Alzheimer’s progressed she became happy and silly with a laugh or a song. She often said that she wanted to make people laugh, and that she did!
