Adrienne Shepard

Stella Adrienne Vandora Yates Shepard, 82, of Thomasville, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born July 31, 1942, in Guilford County, she was a daughter of the late James Albert Yates and the late Mary Elizabeth Pierce Yates. She was a telephone operator for North State Telephone Co. and High Point Regional Hospital.

Stella was a loving mother known as “Addie” with a big heart and contagious laugh! She loved life along with her kitty, Lil Bit. She loved beach trips and baking cakes for all of us to enjoy.

She is survived by her daughters, Marie Lucy (Don) and Tracy Beck; brother, Steve Yates (Diane); grandchildren, Michael Lucy (Dezarae), Christopher Lucy (Brianna), Nicole Lucy, Abbie Beck and Kaleb Beck; and great grandchildren, Kinsley Lucy and Aaron Lucy; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pam Marlowe.

Funeral service will be 1:30 PM Friday, August 1, 2025, at New Day Fellowship, 211 Swathmore Ave, High Point, NC, with Michael Lucy officiating.  Burial will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:15 PM prior to the service.
