Wilfred Grant

Wilfred Grant, 84, of Greensboro, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Wesley Long Hospital.

Born April 13, 1939, in Bryson City, NC, he was a son of the late Emmitt Harold Grant and the late Lois Mae McMahan Grant.

In addition to his parents, Wilfred was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce Richardson Grant and a daughter, Christy Grant Buck, his four brothers and his sister.

He is survived by his children, Kathy Winfrey (Danny), Michael Grant and Jamie Frazier; grandchildren, Jason Buck (Amanda), Cody Winfrey, Justin Fraizer and Jordan Piner (Dallas); great-grandchildren, Mason and Callie Buck, Dawson and Easton Piner and Lillian Winfrey; his fur companion Peebles; all of whose lives are better for having known him.

Wilfred was a loving husband, father, and grandfather to his family. He worked as a first-class upholster for many years with various high-end furniture companies. Additionally, he enjoyed NASCAR racing, and Kyle Busch was his favorite driver.

Burial will be private in the Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery.
