Terry Douglas Jones

Terry Douglas Jones, 76, of Kernersville, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born March 31, 1944, in Surry County, he was a son of the late Ed Jones and the late Mazie Sechrest Hiatt. He was a former Thomasville fire fighter and worked in construction.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Ruby Womble Jones of the home; son, Chris Jones and wife Lisa of Thomasville, and Billy Alcon and wife Terri of Kernersville; daughters, Meloney Blackwell of Thomasville, and Tracy Freeman and husband Jeff of Thomasville; brothers, Greg Jones of Winston-Salem, Tim Hiatt of Winston-Salem, and Blaine Jones of Walkertown; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joel Jones and Michael Jones, sisters, Barbara Svihus, and Belinda Atkins.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 15, 2020, in the chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Rev. Jeremy Linville officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
