Patricia Gail Mason

Patricia Gail Mason, 66, of High Point was called home to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 26, 2024.

She was born May 10, 1958, to Nellie and Wransom Mason. She was the third of four children; Thad Mason, wife Hannah. Judy Mason (deceased) and David Mason, wife Karen.

She is a graduate of Allen Jay High school, where she enjoyed being part of the choir and playing the piano. Patricia loved to read, listen and attend Southern Gospel concerts, and to travel. When her children were younger, she enjoyed directing Christmas plays and helping with VBS at church. She retired from Guilford County, where she worked in family and children’s Medicaid at social services. She was so selfless throughout her life. Always more concerned with the needs and wants of others and lending a helping hand when she could.

Her greatest joy was her children and grandkids; her daughter, Andrea Kestner, husband Dennis and grandson, Alex, wife Jordan; her son, Phillip Ball, wife Jillian and grandsons, Elijah, Luke, and Jonah. She loved to make memories with her family by traveling together. She also loved to make memories with the grandkids taking them to movies, ballgames, museums, and many other adventures.

One of her favorite places was Bryson City, NC. The home place of her parents. She would tell childhood stories of when they would visit there, that she always remembered fondly. She also loved the Inspirations, who originated in Bryson City and loved to go hear the singing on the mountain with 2 of her other favorite groups, The Primitive Quartet and The McKamey’s.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Judy Mason. She is rejoicing now with her and many friends who have gone on before.

The family would like to thank all the family and friends who have helped out during this difficult time. A special thank you to Debbie Laws, who has been a dear friend and so gracious to help us the past 6 weeks. Your love and support has meant so much. Also, thank you to the Hospice home in High Point for all your attentive care and kindness to our mother.

We are left to cherish her memory and await our time to join her.

Memorial services will be conducted at 5:00 PM, Friday, August 2, 2024, at Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point chapel with Alex Kestner and Pastor Michael Mabe officiating.

The family will visit with friends following the service.
