Nancy (Turnage) Hinson

With sadness we announce the passing of our loving mother, Nancy Turnage Hinson who died, Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the Shannon Gray Nursing and Rehab in Jamestown.

She was born August 17, 1939, in Guilford County to William Carl Turnage and Lee Hancock Turnage. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband James Walter Hinson; brothers, Bill Turnage, Thomas Lee Turnage and David Turnage.

Nancy was a loving and kind person, most assuredly she was sweet and generous. She fought a valiant battle with a long-term illness. She was a member of Green Street Baptist Church and later joined Covenant Church United Methodist. Nancy was a 1957 graduate from High Point Central.

Left to cherish her memory; her sons, Eddie Hinson, James Hinson, and Gregory Hinson; granddaughter, Elizabeth Nicole Hanks, and husband David; sister, Sylvia Turnage Hines; along with several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 25, 2024, in the Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends following the service.
