Mike Hogue

Michael Joseph Hogue, 69, of Jamestown, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023, at his home.

Born June 3, 1954, in Bryson City, he was a son of the late Earl Jackson Hogue and the late Maude Robbins Hogue. Mike was a retired furniture frame builder and a brick mason helper.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Jones Hogue of the home; daughter, Melissa Reeves and husband Scott of Newport, North Carolina; brothers, Dale Hogue and wife Linda of Bryson City, Rick Hogue of Denton, Henry Hogue of Archdale, Arvil Hogue and wife Angie of Bryson City, Leonard Hogue and wife Johnnie Mae of Archdale, and Gary Hogue and wife Renee of Trinity; sister, Muriel Tabor of Bryson City; grandchildren, Kasey Reeves and Kylie Ballard and husband Chris.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Hogue, and sisters, Carrie Jane Hogue, Brenda Thurman, and Helen Hogue.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, October 6, 2023, in the High Point Chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Rev. Rick Byerly officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point.
