Kenneth Douglas Rivers

Kenneth “Dawg” Douglas Rivers, 56, of High Point, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.

Born August 6, 1968, in Lowell, MA, he was a son of Priscilla Rivers and the late Kenneth Frank Rivers.

Kenny was a man of many talents; electrician, logger, welder, well driller, carpenter, heavy equipment operator. His greatest passion was auto mechanics. He was charismatic in nature, very outgoing and loved by many. He had many close friends that were there for him through his life’s struggles. Kenny’s battle with addiction caused estranged relationships which was a deep regret of his.

He is survived by his son, Matthew Rivers; daughters, Sarah Rivers (Brian Raymond) and Melisssa Veitenheimer (Michael); brothers, Robert Rivers and Earl Rivers (Michelle); sisters, Debbie Testa, Cindy Sadin (Jim), Rebecca Figueira (Raymond), Cheryl Rivers and Heather Hill (Dan); grandchildren, Noah, Autumn, Liliana and Leyton.

Memorial Service will be 11:00AM Monday, December 23, 2024, in the Archdale Chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations. The family will receive friends following the service.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Caring Services; 102 Chestnut Drive, High Point, NC 27262; or to the treatment facility of your choice.

Wright Funerals-Cremations, Archdale, is in charge of arrangements.
