James Young

James Howard Young, 85, of Jamestown, passed away July 8, 2023, at his home.

Born May 1, 1938, in Guilford County, he was a son to the late Luther Young and the late Mozelle Peoples Young.  James was in the Army National Guard then served four years in the United States Navy.  He later worked as a computer tech at Hewlett Packard and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by a son, Tony Young (Janie) of Jamestown; daughter, Terrie Davis of Kernersville; brother, Tommy Young (Cathy) of Stokesdale; sisters, Thelma Wright of Greensboro and Marie Dalton of Lexington; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Oxindine Young and a son Robbie Young.

The family will have a private service.
