James Curtis Laine, 62, of Lexington, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020, in Linwood.

Born November 9, 1957, in Roanoke, Virginia, he was a son of James Edward Laine of Lexington and the late Betty Snead Laine. Mr. Laine was a 1976 graduate of East Davidson High School, was formerly employed with Visual Concepts and was a self-employed building contractor.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his sons, Derek Laine of Thomasville, and Lucas Laine of Trinity; brother, Terry Laine and wife Kim of Lexington; sister, Rose Skipper and husband Buddy of Asheboro; and grandson, Colby Laine.

Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 16, 2020, at Rolling Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Sechrest officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Brenner Children’s Hospital, 1 Medical Center Blvd., Winston-Salem, NC 27157.
