Carolyn (Walker) Minor

Caroleen (Carolyn) Walker Minor, 85, of Greensboro, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Camden Health and Rehab.

Born November 7, 1938, in Old Fort, NC, she was the daughter of the late Wilburn Walker and the late Kate Bates.  Caroleen (Carolyn) owned her own interior decorating business, Wall Coverings by Carolyn, and was a member of Gate City Baptist Church.

Carolyn had a passion for cooking and bringing people together, often preparing delicious meals for family gatherings. Her kind-heartedness extended to her volunteer work at church, where she served meals for many years. She had a one-of-kind nature and often brought laughter to many social gatherings. Carolyn enjoyed the beauty of God’s creation and would spend hours outside working in her many flower gardens. For many years she had a special place in her heart for the elderly and dedicated her time to helping those in need.

She is survived by her sons, Ted Minor (Lilly) and Ty Minor (Sherri); daughter, Tammy Thrasher (Eric); grandchildren, Daniel Minor (Irene), Luke Minor (Jennifer), Joseph Minor (Madeleine), Nathan Thrasher (Heather), and Will Thrasher (Lauren); great grandchildren, Olivia Thrasher, Bella Thrasher, D’Nova Thrasher, Prince Thrasher, Caleb Minor, Joshua Minor, Austin Minor, Bo Minor and Wade Minor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Minor and a granddaughter, Joy Elizabeth Minor.

The family will visit with friends following the service.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Gate City Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Owens officiating.  Burial will be private.
