Bill Lemieux

William Edward Lemieux, 85, of Colfax, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023, at River Landing.

Born February 11, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, he was a son of the late Leon Lemieux and the late Louise Gelpke Lemieux. Bill was a US Army veteran and owned, operated, and retired from Carolina City Smoked Seafood in Morehead City with his wife Barbara.

He is survived by his son, Peter Lemieux and wife Carol of Maryland; daughters, Nicole Lemieux of Wake Forest, and Julie Gallagher and husband Shawn of Raleigh; stepdaughter, Dale Moser of Haw River; stepson, Danny Teer and wife Debra of Graham; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Teer Lemieux.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, July 28, 2023, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Tom Norris, O.S.F.S. officiating. Burial will be at Phillips Chapel Church Cemetery in Haw River.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont or River Landing Employee Scholarship.
