Born June 4, 1950, in New York, NY, she was a daughter of the late Pedro Cruz and the late Isabel Agosto Cruz.

She is survived by her husband, Vincent William Brooks of the home; daughter, Zulma Emilse Brooks of the home; and brother, Ronald Cruz of New York.
