Winnie Langley Friedrich, 80, of Colfax, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018, at River Landing at Sandy Ridge.

Born October 1, 1938, in McCormick, SC, she was the daughter of the late George E. Langley, Sr. and the late Rebekah Lankford Langley. Mrs. Friedrich was a graduate of Salem College and was the owner and president of The Rock, Inc.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Dean Friedrich of Colfax; sons, The Reverend Chesley Kennedy (John Overfield) of Greensboro, Timothy Kennedy (Holly) of Merritt Island, Florida, and Edwin Kennedy (Shellie) of Allan, Texas; step-sons, Larry Friedrich, Jr., of Melbourne, Florida, and, Paul Friedrich, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; daughter-in-law, Tina White-Kennedy of Winston-Salem; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Edwin L. Kennedy.

A celebration of life was held on her October 1, 2018, on her 80th birthday at River Landing.
