Mary Frances Craven

Mary Frances Craven, 95, of High Point, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019, at Pennybyrn at Maryfield.
Born September 10, 1923, in Davidson, County, she was a daughter of the late Evander Monroe “Roe” Craven and the late Eliza Jane Wyre Craven. Mrs. Craven was a graduate of Wallburg High School and Draughon Business College. She was a retired bookkeeper with Thayer Coggin and a member of Westchester Baptist Church.
Mrs. Craven is survived by her daughters, Sylvia Howell of Winston-Salem, and Linda Elliott and husband Dr. Ralph Elliott of Seneca, SC; son, Gary Craven and wife Martha of Thomasville; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Linville Craven in 1969; and son, Ronnie Craven in 2016; and a special son-in-law, James Van Howell, Jr.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Spring Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Eric Peacock officiating.
