James (Jim) Leonard Cantrell

James (Jim) Leonard Cantrell, 73, of High Point, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2019, at High Point Medical Center.

Born November 3, 1945, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was a son of the late Kermit Cantrell and the late Geraldine Belcher Cantrell. Jim was a US Air Force veteran and retired from the City of High Point with thirty-five years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Terri Pendry Cantrell of the home; brothers, Arthur Cantrell and wife Jeanette of Summerville, South Carolina, and David Cantrell of Mobile, Alabama; sister, Lucy Sturgill and husband Chris of Wise, Virginia; brother-in-law, Larry Pendry and wife Molly of High Point; five fur babies; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Mitchell, Larry, and Jerry Cantrell.

Memorial services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at the Journey Church with Rev. Alan Cox officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
