Deborah Pyrtle Self, 61, of High Point, passed away Monday, February 18, 2019, at her home.

Born February 11, 1958, in Forsyth County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel David Pyrtle and the late Mary Ellen Rhue Stewart. Deborah graduated from Ledford Senior High School, and her career was in banking.  Her heart and joy was her daughter Erica, whom she loved selflessly. Deborah devoted herself to serving special needs children and adults in the High Point Community, and she attended Community Bible Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Erica Lichtenberger of High Point; sister, Belinda Mathis and husband Charles of High Point; aunts, Rebecca Phillips and Rebecca Teague; nephew, Travis Mathis; and niece Nicole Hughes

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 PM Sunday, February 24, 2019, at Community Bible Church with Rev. John Eric Woodward officiating. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:15 PM prior to the service.
