David Thomas Wilson, 70, of High Point, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019, at his home.

Born July 16, 1948, in Davidson County, he was the son of Vauter Mae James Wilson of Mocksville, and the late Foy Martin Wilson. David was a truck driver and, retired from the City of High Point. He was a member of Joy Community Fellowship.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Laura Ann Bell Wilson of the home; daughters, Tammy Brooks and husband Johnny of High Point, and Sherri Guinn and husband Ronnie of Archdale; sisters, Gloria Anderson and husband David of Mocksville, and Vauter Mae Proctor and husband Lee of Albemarle; grandchildren, Stephanie Bradshaw, Drew Linthicum, Sean Linthicum, Rodney Guinn, and April Guinn; and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ernest Wilson; and mother and father-in-law, J.T. Bell and Betty Bell.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Joy Fellowship with Pastor Bob Ferguson officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
