David Emerson Gould, Jr., 69, of High Point, loving husband and wonderful father, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at Select Specialty Hospital in Greensboro.

Born September 7, 1949, on Great Falls Montana, he was a son of the late David Emerson Gould, Sr. and the late Anne Scott Grauel. David was a US Army veteran, attended Harvard University, and graduated from Thomas More University. He was a reserve police officer with the High Point Police with fifteen years of service. David was a Boy Scout Leader, a licensed pilot, world traveler, lifelong learner and Sunday school teacher at Covenant Church United Methodist.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Kimberly McElroy Gould of the home; and son, Evan Alexander Gould of Charlotte.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Cameron Mitchell Gould in 2018.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Sunday, March 17, 2019, at Covenant Church United Methodist with Rev. Michelle Foster-Beckerleg  officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
