Clifford “Bill” Willie Byerly

Thomasville

 

Clifford “Bill” Willie Byerly, 74, of Thomasville, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2019, at High Point Medical Center.

Born January 23, 1945, in Morganton, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Robert Archie Byerly and the late Lois James Byerly. Bill was a retired US Air Force veteran serving twenty years, and taught special education for thirteen. He was a member of Green Street Baptist Church.

Bill is survived by his wife, Ruth Cathcart Byerly of the home; son, Michael Byerly and wife Tara of California; daughter, Sonya Morgan and husband Joe of California; brothers, Glenn Byerly and wife Fern of Greensboro, and Sandy Byerly and wife Clara of South Carolina; sister, Marie Brande of Stokesdale; grandchildren, Michael Byerly, E.J. Byerly, Daniel Keith, Joseph Keith, and Samantha Keltner.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Green Street Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Ben Omungu officiating. Burial will be private at Salisbury National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Green Street Baptist Church, Kenya Missions Trip, 303 Rotary Dr., High Point, NC 27262.
